Congratulations Demarcus McKinley, C’04!

The gospel-recording group “Redeemed” album “Favor Ain’t Fair” won Album of the Year for an Upcoming Artist. The Jackson Music Awards Association gave this award on Monday, July 13, 2015. Demarcus McKinley’ MVSU 04, far left, is the drummer, manager, and one of the producers.

MVSU Alumnus Receives Food Service Appointments

Edward Hill2Edward H. Hill, C’02, has been appointed to the Mississippi Department of Education – Office of Child Nutrition Task Force and the Mississippi School Nutrition Association (MSNA) – Publicity and Public Relations Committee.

Currently, Hill serves as the district director of child nutrition for the West Bolivar Consolidated School District.

“It’s an honor to serve the great State of Mississippi through these organizations,” said Hill.  “I look forward to assisting leaders and staff members throughout Mississippi.”

As a member of the child nutrition task force, he will assist in the development of a new food service manager course which will be designed specifically for school food service managers throughout the State of Mississippi.  The task force will conduct a comprehensive review and revision of Decide to Succeed training materials, including the instructor guide, participant handouts, pre- and post quizzes, learning activities and reference materials.

His appointment to the publicity and public relations committee will give Hill the opportunity to assist in promoting MSNA achievements.
